Part number and configurationReels for cranes and telescopic booms
Need to find a part number or replace a reel on a telescopic boom? Start with the nameplate, number of hoses and photographs of the installation. Compare four-hose families, other hydraulic configurations and combined hose and cable reels.

Hydraulic and combined families
First identify the number of hoses to replace or install. The part numbers below lead to the families; the configuration still needs to be checked against travel, circuits and mounting.

A4 Standard — four lines in twin hoses
A4 Standard reel with four lines in two twin hoses: 15 sizes, usable length from 2 to 37 m, maximum flow rate 30 l/min. Right-hand or left-hand model.

S4 — four separate hoses
S4 reel: four separate hydraulic hoses, 40 l/min, 12 sizes and 1,1 to 22 m usable length. Diameters 1/4″ to 1/2″, specific 4SP lengths.

M4 — two independent hose assemblies
M4 reel with four lines in two twin hoses: two independent external springs, 40 l/min and 3,2 to 26,5 m usable length depending on configuration.

AG Standard — two lines in a twin hose
AG Standard reel: two lines in a twin hose, 40 l/min, 16 sizes and 1,2 to 39 m usable length depending on configuration. Right-hand or left-hand model.

AG/E — two lines and cable
AG/E: 2 hydraulic hoses and one electrical cable. Diameter, usable length, conductors and mounting depend on the part number; identification on request.

A4/E — four lines and cable
A4/E: 4 hydraulic hoses and one electrical cable. Diameter, usable length, conductors and mounting depend on the part number; identification on request.

S3 — three separate hoses
S3 reel: three separate hoses, 40 l/min, 12 sizes and 1,1 to 22 m usable length depending on configuration. Diameters 1/4″ to 1/2″, separate 4SP lengths.
View part numbers- Four hoses — A4, S4 ; M4 with dual springs for a configuration with two separate hose assemblies.
- Hydraulics and cable — A4/E for four hoses with cable; AG/E, A3/E, A5/E and A6/E for other numbers of lines.
- Two hoses — AG Standard, A2 Standard, AG.19 and AG.25, depending on circuit specifications.
- Three hoses — A3 and S3.
- Five or six hoses — A5 and A6.
- One hose — S1 Single Spiral, M1 Multi Spiral and A1.25.
Find a part number or prepare a replacement
A legible DEMAC part number allows us to start from the existing equipment. Photograph the entire nameplate, fittings, mountings and hose/cable routing.
Without a part number, provide the machine and attachment models, followed by the specifications available. The number of hoses or flange diameter alone is not enough to confirm equivalence.
Configuration data
See the information to record
Hoses and cable
Number of hoses, diameters, fitting types and any electrical line. Include the circuit diagram if available.
Flow rate and pressure
Operating values for each circuit and the fluid used.
Travel and routing
Travel of the hose/cable assembly, reel position and guide points; distinguish boom travel from the hose length to be wound.
Overall dimensions and mountings
Diameter, width, hole centres, outlet direction and available space around the drum.
Document the existing installation
See the information to record
An overall view of the boom and photographs of the reel in retracted and extended positions help compare installation layouts. Identify any pulleys, guides and brackets you wish to retain.
Adjustments and work must follow the instructions corresponding to the part number; this page helps prepare selection, not define an installation procedure.
Additional measurement and rotation components
LR sensors and GR-4 rotary unions
If the enquiry also concerns boom-extension measurement or a rotary union, include their part numbers separately. These components must be identified in addition to the reel.

Prepare your enquiry
For a replacement, start with a legible photograph of the nameplate and a view of the installation. Add the information available below; identify anything still to be confirmed.
- Photograph of the nameplate, part number and required quantity.
- Machine, attachment and views of mountings and guides.
- Number of hoses, diameters, fittings; presence of a cable and signal type.
- Travel of the hose/cable assembly, flow rate and pressure for each circuit.
- Available space and operating conditions.
