Cables and reel width

Suffix /En indicates the number of conductors. The cross-section depends on the hose diameter and type: use the combination published below. Unlisted combinations must not be inferred from another size.

1/4″ /E12 exception: 12x1 mm² cable is listed only for AGD230 and AGD270; the other sizes show a dash. The other /E12 columns specify 12x1.5 mm².

Lengths in the catalogue table

All 14 sizes in the series are included. Lengths are total lengths in metres; for these configurations, usable length = total length − 0.5 m. Complete Y, X and n using both tables.

Example code: AGD400.06.R7/E2. The size number is not always the actual side plate diameter: for example, size 320 here corresponds to 325 mm. Specify whether hoses are required when enquiring.

Dimensions and mounting

Dimensions in millimetres. Dimension A depends on the electrical suffix; B to E depend on the size. The catalogue states that 2D drawings and STEP models are available on request.

• Mounting shown: Ø 11 mm holes with 55 mm centres, bracket width 80 mm. Connections 2x3/8″ or 2x1/2″; a fixed 1 m cable tail is indicated.
• Vertical downward travel of the hose/cable assembly /VD is optional; do not confuse it with the shaft orientation when mounted.
• Vertical-shaft positions are shown as optional and not recommended above size 470. Have the drawing of the selected execution confirmed.

Pressure and operating conditions

• Published reel pressure rating: 300 bar as standard, 400 bar optional. The hose, fittings and configuration may impose a lower limit; the permissible pressure of the complete assembly must be confirmed.
• Maximum hose/cable assembly speed: 30 m/min. Published temperature range for the series: -20 to +80 °C; also check the limits of the hoses, cables and seals in the execution supplied.
• Published electrical limits: 50 V, 5 A. A signal or bus connection requires specific validation; these values do not guarantee compatibility with a protocol.
• For installation, prewinding and maintenance, follow the manual for the code supplied and the information on the nameplate; do not use the number of turns from another model.

Specific manual for AGD 400.08.R7/E6, edition 06/2022: it specifies a 6 200 mm 5/16″ R7 hose, 190 bar, 50 V and 4 A, with a range of -40 to +80 °C. These data apply to this particular model and do not replace the Latest family table. Its manual requires electrical isolation and pressure removal before maintenance, and warns of the energy stored in the spring.
