Reels for two separate hoses

Replacing a reel or equipping a machine? Compare A2, A2/F, A2.19 and A2.25 for two separate hoses, according to the circuits and mounting.

DEMAC A2 Standard reel, two independent hydraulic hoses side by side
The A2 Standard: two independent hoses that can differ in diameter, pressure and construction.

Identify the requirement

Check the two independent circuits

Specifications of each circuit. Record the fluid, pressure and diameter of each hose without assuming they are identical.

Replacement of one line. Specify whether the enquiry concerns a single hose, the complete hose assembly or the equipped reel.

Special construction. Identify the temperature or material requirements for each line and the construction of the existing hoses.

To compare another hose arrangement, see the twin-hose families. Check the dimensions and circuit compatibility before changing the configuration.

Technical point

A difference to know between A2 and A2/F

Do not transfer an A2 part number directly to the flange-mounted A2/F. In 3/8″, the listed usable lengths differ particularly for the 620 mm flanges — 11,8 m versus 14,5 m — and 650 mm flanges — 13,8 m versus 16,5 m. Check the exact row and the mounting drawing.

Plan the installation

Compare overall dimensions and mounting

Compare the width, hole centres, bracket and connections of the part numbers under consideration. The dimensions of the A2 and AG families cannot be inferred from the number of lines alone.

When replacing a reel, also check the hose routing and the space required for connections on the machine.

What to send for a quotation

  • For a replacement: full part number, photograph of the nameplate and views of the existing installation.
  • For each line: diameter, flow rate, pressure and fluid — they may differ.
  • Required usable length.
  • Available space, bracket type and mounting hole centres.
  • Connection direction and mounting position.
