Reels for hoses and cable

Replacing a combined reel or equipping a machine? Compare AG/E to A6/E according to the hydraulic lines and cable, or identify the equipped forklift kit.

DEMAC AG/E combined hose and cable reel, two hoses and one cable in the same assembly
The AG/E: the two hydraulic lines and electrical cable wound together on a single drum.

Your constraints, your family

Compare the number of hydraulic lines, diameter and usable length, then the number of conductors and electrical specifications. Check the overall dimensions of the assembly.

Allow for overall dimensions

Compare travel, flow rate and width

These parameters must be checked for the same part number, with its hose/cable assembly and number of conductors.

Usable length. Check the combination of diameter, flange size and number of lines. Lengths from another family or a version without cable cannot be transferred automatically.

Flow rate. The values shown distinguish 40 l/min for three and four lines from 30 for five and six. Compare them with the conditions of each circuit.

Width and mounting. Check the drawing of the equipped part number: the number of conductors and hydraulic lines affect the bracket dimensions.

Anticipate your requirements

Check conductors and suffixes

The suffixes range from /E2 to /E12. Record the number and cross-section of conductors in the existing equipment. If spare capacity is required for future development, specify it in the quote request and check its effect on the hose/cable assembly, slip ring assembly and overall dimensions.

Two limitations: the twelve-conductor version is not available with a 1/4″ hose, and the cable cross-section follows the hose diameter — 1 mm² in 1/4″, 1,5 mm² above that.

Maintenance

Identify the electrical slip ring assembly

Electrical transmission uses a slip ring and brush assembly in the hub: 50 V and 5 A maximum, milliamp outputs and bus connections on request.

For a spare-part enquiry, include the slip ring assembly part number, wiring diagram and observed symptoms. A loss of continuity requires diagnosis; it does not on its own identify the component to replace.

Technical point

Four lines with cable in 1/2″

For four lines in 1/2″ with an electrical line, see the A4/E configurations. Do not infer its available diameters from the A4 Standard without cable.

What to send for a quotation

  • For a replacement: full part number, photograph of the nameplate and views of the existing installation.
  • Number of hydraulic lines, diameter, flow rate, pressure.
  • Number and cross-section of conductors, with any required spare capacity explicitly specified.
  • Voltage and current, power or signal.
  • Any fieldbus.
  • Available width and mounting hole centres.

Quotations and technical advice on request.
