Part number and configurationReels for rescue vehicles
To identify a rescue-vehicle reel, send photographs of the nameplate, fittings and installation position in the vehicle. The RT and 9871 series correspond to distinct configurations; the tool part number and circuit data complete the enquiry.

Compare RT and 9871

RT — manual rewind
DEMAC RT1 and RT2 reels for rescue vehicles: one or two twin hoses, 350 or 700 bar configurations. Specify part number, length and fittings.

9871 — motorised rewind
DEMAC 9871 motorised-rewind reel for rescue vehicles, anti-rotation lock and manual rewind. Specify hose and drive configuration.

These families are not interchangeable on hose diameter alone. For a replacement, compare the part number and specifications of the complete assembly.
Identify a high-pressure configuration
For a high-pressure configuration, send the reel and hose part numbers and the tool and pump specifications. Photograph the outer-cover markings and fittings.
The LS/700 family is an additional starting point for an enquiry requiring locking. A replacement hose must be checked using its full part number, not just its diameter.
Specify manual rewind
See the information to record
For the 9871, state whether the enquiry concerns the complete reel, drive or manual rewind. Include the instructions and photographs of the available controls.
Functions and operating conditions must be confirmed for the proposed configuration. This page does not replace the manufacturer’s procedure.
Information to record in the vehicle

Overall dimensions and bracket
Compartment dimensions, space needed for unwinding, mountings and permissible mass.
Outlet direction
Photograph the current routing. Any work must be defined using the instructions; see the installation information.
Guidance
Record the position and dimensions of the guidance to be retained.
Operating conditions
Parking and operating temperatures, exposure and frequency of use.
Maintenance parts and documentation
See the information to record
For a maintenance enquiry, include the equipment part number and documents, then specify the part or function concerned. Checks and intervals are those in the applicable instructions.
If the enquiry concerns a hose stop, state its part number, dimensions and associated hose.
Prepare your enquiry
For a replacement, start with a legible photograph of the nameplate and a view of the installation. Add the information available below; identify anything still to be confirmed.
- Photograph of the nameplate, part number and quantity.
- Associated tool and pump, circuit specifications.
- Number of lines, hose, fittings and length.
- Installation position, mountings, overall dimensions and outlet direction.
- Power supply and controls for a motorised model.
- Available documents and operating conditions.
